An advisory flyer I created to help minimize human exposure to pollutants from fish and shellfish.
Commencement Bay Fish and Shellfish Consumption Advisory
I created this handout while working as an Environmental Health Specialist at Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department. The State Department of Health issued new recommendations for the amount of crab and bottom fish that could safely be consumed from Commencement Bay. The guidance came in narrative form, but refered to specific geographic areas. To help our audience understand the recommendations better, I created this document and converted the narrative information into a simple, printable map. The map was created using a modified ArcGIS Desktop application maintained by Pierce County Spatail Services. I created two layers from scratch and placed them on a generic basemap from ArcGIS Online. I also included the narrative information on the reverse side for clarity and a little bit of context.
